April showers bring May flowers, and wow, nowhere was that more true than in Millbrook! A few rainstorms and, seemingly overnight, winter disappeared, leaving our fruit trees all a-blossom and our grass lush. And not a moment too soon…Mother’s Day is literally around the corner and we have the perfect way to celebrate the special mother in your life for those last-minute planners. HUDSON VALLEY THEATER FESTIVAL
MAY 2nd – MAY 4th
After a great inaugural year in 2024, the Hudson Valley Theater Festival is happening again this May! There are 12 original new works by playwrights from around the country are presented at various spots all over the valley, and several are just a short drive from the inn. With a variety of different and unique themes, this fun event is the perfect way to see up and coming productions before they make it to Broadway.
The Festival will take place Friday, May 2 through Sunday May 4th, 2025, you can see the schedule and purchase tickets here.
SPRING BASEBALL

The Hudson Valley Renegades are one of the Yankee’s farm teams; and its a great way to to spend a Spring or Summer night: you sit up close on bleachers, and its oozing with small-town charm: fireworks, fun mascots giving away prizes, hot dog stands, and lots of fan participation. Only a short drive from the inn, it’s a great way for baseball fans to spend an evening and see the game up close.

COMMUNITY DAY AT INNISFREE
MAY 24th
Celebrate the peak of spring in the Hudson Valley during our Memorial Day Weekend Community Day. Innisfree will open an hour before sunrise for those intrepid souls who are willing to get up early (or stay up very late) to experience the sun’s golden light dramatically flooding the garden. Arrive early to see the skies brighten above the lake and to watch the garden wake up for the day. Later visitors can enjoy a Solar System Walk in the afternoon where guests will walk through a model solar system, discussing the Sun and planets as well as the evolving science of space.
The gardens are also open throughout the weekend so it is a fantastic way to spend some time outside and explore the beauty of the gardens. Click here for more information or to purchase tickets.
