Every month, I wax on about all the amazing things there are to do in the Hudson Valley. But as we enter the holiday season, I’m thinking bigger than just November. It’s hard not to around Millbrook! Whether it’s the annual Parade of Lights down the center of town; or cutting your own Christmas tree at Abel’s Tree Farm just down the road; or for holiday shopping, what better gift than an award winning bottle of Tenmile whiskey or Milea wine? Its that time again…when Hudson Valley Restaurant Week brings visitors from near and far to try our amazing the Hudson Valley cuisine! Dozens of restaurants all over the Hudson Valley showcase prix fixe menus to provide great deals on 3-course lunches and dinners. And in keeping with the celebration, we are offering our own $49 prix fix dinner that celebrates the bounty of our local farmer friends! To experience this amazing deal, simply book the prix fix “experience” on Open Table, any Thursday through December (except Thanksgiving!). And if this offer wasn’t good enough…there’s more! During November and December, we’ve  got a gift for our diners: dine on Thursday nights, and enjoy 50% off any bottle of wine! Coming to spend the holidays with friends or family…or looking for  a quiet “non holiday”weekend? The Millbrook Inn is a great place to call home that weekend, either way! Check in Wednesday, the day BEFORE Thanksgiving, and we have a special treat. For the second year in a row, The Vintage will be open on Thanksgiving Eve, welcoming our guests with a special $12 bar menu! Celebrate the best of the season and our local farms, and all for $12 each. So drive up after work, check-in, and pony up to our cozy oak bar for some great cocktails and yummy bar food. Book a room for that week, and you’ll receive a VIP  link for inn guests only, which gets you get priority seating! 



A PEEK INN-SIDE NOVEMBER: Millbrook Beef and Dairy, A Partner Profile 

I would be remiss not to talk about Millbrook Beef and Dairy during the November. Why? Well first of all, because we are thankful for the delicious beef and gorgeous-hued eggs they bring to us each wee! But during the holiday season, Keegan Donovan, co-owner in partnership with her husband Brian, always makes sure our front porch is decked out with the most beautiful heritage pumpkins in every shape and color; corn husks, and even Christmas wreaths, hand-made and thoughtfully adorned with ribbons in our signature antique blue! This family farm, just minutes from the inn, raises their own cattle, chickens, vegetables, pumpkins, flowers…you name it, they do it. Their dairy is used by some of the best cheese makers in the area, and there is really nothing they don’t do well. Their farm store is a great place to stop by to shop and pick up the same products we proudly serve in the  restaurant, and The Donovans will happily educate you on the process of local farming and inspire you to eat local…that’s exactly why they do  what they do!
