MONDAYS AT THE VINTAGE: BURGERS AND BEER
Our burger has been called one of the best in the Hudson Valley, and on April 17th, we’re offering that burger at incredible prices. We’re reopening The Vintage bar and restaurant on Monday nights, and you can get our signature Union Vale burger and a local 16-ounce brew for only $22; a host of other cocktails and NEW menu items for $16 or less; and beer and wines at $8! This is an enormous savings from the rest of the week and only available on Monday nights for the Spring and Summer season… so book a Monday night at the inn and enjoy The Vintage’s same delicious food and cocktails for a fraction of the price! TENMILE DISTILLERY’S LONG-AWAITED SINGLE MALT WHISKEY IS HERE!
We’ve talked about one of our favorite partners before. Led by Scottish Master Distiller Sean Fraser, TenMile Distillery, literally down the road from us… already makes incredible small-batch white spirits (Listening Rock Gin and Sinpatch Vodka), and we proudly feature them prominently on our cocktail menu. But we have been waiting 3 long years for Sean to release his first American single-malt whiskey, Little Rest, which combines Hudson Valley barley with Scottish methods and expertise. The Millbrook Inn was lucky enough to get its hands on a few bottles of their inaugural release, and we were thrilled to find out April is the release month! Come stay with us anytime after April 24th, and you can go to the TenMile tasting room to sample and purchase this highly anticipated single malt whiskey! A PEEK INNSIDE SPRING: A CORONATION COCKTAIL, FIT FOR A KING
We’ve been working hard to come up with some new and exciting cocktails for the Spring and Summer. One that we are really excited about is our King’s Punch, a refreshing whiskey punch in honor of King Charles’ coronation this May. Featuring iconic English ingredients (tea, honey, elderflower) and whiskey, the King’s favorite spirit, this is best served over a large ice cube and a lemon slice; and best enjoyed in your garden, watching the bees buzzing by.
THE MILLBROOK INN’S KING’S PUNCH
- 4 ounces freshly brewed chamomile tea, cooled
- A tablespoon of honey, or less, to taste
- 2 ounces of whisky of your choice
- ½ ounce of elderflower liquor
- Squeeze of lemon
- Lemon slices, for garnish
Combine all the drink ingredients in a shaker, and do a dry shake to dissolve the honey. Add ice, and shake for another 15 seconds. Strain into a short rocks glass with a large ice cube (you don’t want to water down this drink). Garnish with fresh lemon slices and/or chamomile blossoms. Enjoy with some lovely hard cheeses, pickled veggies, and hearty wheat biscuits.
