We always strive to support and highlight businesses and products as local as possible. With that in mind, we proudly provide toiletries made by Beekman 1802, located in the town next door (Beekman, New York); and Matouk Linens, based in New England.
DOUBLE OCCUPANCY AND EXTRA GUESTS
All room rates are for a maximum of double occupancy only! If you need to book a room 3 guests, you MUST call our front desk directly to make those arrangments. Due to the local codes and maximum occupancy limitations, please be advised: if you make a reservation online for two guests, and show up with more, you run the risk of being turned away and forfeiting full payment for your reservation.
ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE TIMES
Check-in is 4:00-6:00 PM.
Check-out time is 11:00 AM.
In order to give rooms the proper attention required for the next guest, all guests must check-out by 11:00 AM on the day of departure. After 11:00 AM, Late fees ranging from $50-$150 could be charged at the management’s discretion (based on our reservations and the amount of extra time you stay). If available, early check-in begins at 2:00 PM, for an additional $50 fee. Early and late check-ins MUST be arranged prior to your reservaton! If you arrive early without prior approval, we cannot guarantee your room will be available. Please speak to the front desk if you need more time and we will try our best to accomodate you.
NO CHILDREN UNDER 13
We welcome all guests 13 years of age and older. No exceptions will be made. We are an intimate boutique property that provides a serene retreat for adults and teenage guests. This policy extends to local residents coming to visit you at the property as well. In addition, anyone under the age of 21 must travel with an adult. A valid ID (passport, School ID, state ID) may be required at the innkeeper’s discretion.
SMOKE-FREE PROPERTY
We are a smoke-free property. If you smoke in your room or on your room’s patio, a $200 cleaning fee will be added to your bill. No exceptions will be made. Smoking is only allowed on our fire-pit terrace. Please, for the safety of the property and its woods, and discard unused smoking materials INTO the fire-pit, not on the grass and gardens.
OUTSIDE FOOD AND BEVERAGES
No COOLERS are are allowed in guest rooms. If you arrive with a cooler or you happen to have any perishables, we will be happy to store them in our kitchens for you until check-out. Please, we cannot entertain any exceptions. In addition, our liquor license prevents outside alcohol from being consumed onsite without purchase. A $50 “sale” fee will be added to your bill for any outside alcoholic beverages consumed at the inn per day of your stay.
PETS
We love our pets too, but we can’t accommodate them on the property. If you do require pet boarding, there are several in the area; please inquire with our front desk for assistance!
DEPOSITS/PAYMENTS
A credit card deposit for 50% of your total stay plus tax will be charged upon booking. The remainder will be paid up to 14 days prior to your arrival.
CANCELLATION, EARLY DEPARTURE, OR NO SHOW
The Millbrook Inn is an exclusive property where every guest reservation is important to us. If your travel plans change and you must cancel your reservation, please call us at least 15 days prior to your arrival date for a full refund minus a 7% processing fee. In the unlikely event you shorten your stay or check out early, your full payment is still required. If you are unsure of your booking plans, we highly recommend trip insurance for your monetary protection.
DAMAGES OR LOSS
The inn is filled with luxury fabrics, antiques, and art; Matouk robes, towels, and linens. We know you will enjoy yourselves and repsect the inn property. However, you may be held responsible for any missing or damaged items, and be required to pay for their repairs or replacement. This is at the discretion of the innkeeper and will be charged to your credit card. Our robes retail for $120; please feel free to inquire about purchasing a new one with our innkeeper!
PARKING
Parking is free, for one car per room. We are not responsible for the contents in your car or any possible damage that may occur to it during your stay.
FIREARMS
No firearm of any kind are allowed in the bedrooms or public areas. As we are in a hunting region, we do understand that guests may travel with rifles. For everyone’s convenience and safety, we have a locked gun locker on site. Please let the front desk know in advance if you will need this amenity while staying at the inn.
COVID 19 VACCINATION REQUIREMENTS
Our wish is for you to enjoy our beautiful inn worry-free. In order to do so, we encourage all our guests to be FULLY vaccinated and boosted prior to their arrival. Please note that we follow the changing guidelines of the CDC, federal, and state guidelines, so please check back before your cancellation period to check on any changes. This ALSO APPLIES to local friends and family who may visit you on the property.
MASK POLICY
At this time, masks will NOT be required for guests and diners on the property; but we ask that everyone respect those that choose to wear them. This policy is both for your safety as well as the health AND safety of everyone here, who’s job it is to make your stay enjoyable, delicious, and safe. The inn has a supply of masks should you want to wear one.

Our staff is fully vaccinated and boosted.
CLEANLINESS
Our property is cleaned throughout the day; and hand sanitizer is available in all public spaces and your guest room. Complimentary masks are always available to those who want them.
CONTACTLESS CHECK-IN
On the day of your arrival, your credit card on file will be charged the remainder of your stay, so no need to present us with a credit card or sign any paperwork. You will receive a unique code gives you wireless access your room door with your phone; There is a manual option as well.
